The 14th National Youth Convention

The 14th National Youth Convention that was held at the SM City Cinema 6 last January 13, 2009 was so fun. That was my first time to join the STI's National Youth Convention and I really enjoy it. The speakers deliver their presentation very well and I love it. They not to be just as seekers but also as a friend, a parent, and a teacher. I like the way they discussed because in any way they made laugh. Every guest speaker has his own technique of discussion on how to grab the attentions of the students or the listeners. hey made every examples unforgettable for the students. I a way, they happened to be a performer on the stage not only as a gueat speaker.
The emcee of the event is so funny. The first time I saw him I thought I saw Direct Bobot Mortiz. I like the quality of his voice and he really suits as an emcee or even more than that. H e can be a broadcaster.
During the discussion, everyone in BSIT 1B was taking down notes for an obvious reason, a requirement fof the reaction paper! Im enlightened during the discussion. I don't expect that I learned what I learned. I can't sya that I got all the topics but I felt that there are some that added to my knowledge even simple things. I felt thar wow! is this for real? Maybe its natural to feel this way for a first timer like me but the speakers were too good to be ignored.
Infairness to Zarah, I dont think she deserved those treatment. Is it okay to ask an artist's personal number? I dont htinkso. In my opinion, that was not proper for a special guest. Some students didn't even clapped their hands when Zarh approached the stage. I believed that STI's National Youth Convention was so fun. Im looking forward for it in the coming years.

"To Buy More Things Is To Buy More Sorrow"

"To buy more things is to buy more sorrow" means that you may have bought almost all the things but it cannot give you all the happiness you deserve. It only give satisfaction. It only offers what you desire. You couldn't find the real happiness that money can buy in this world. Everyone wants to have almost all of the good things money can buy but in return it can cause them much pain.
For example, you have a lot of jewelries and money but you're too afraid or even scared to go everywhere you want because of the thought that you might be kidnapped. Fortune cannot give us security and protection we want. Yes, we can hire bodyguards for ourselves but it doesn't mean that you're always safe with them.
Others spent their money for pleasures without even thinking that other people starving in hunger because of the lack of financial aspects. Most of the fortunate people spent their money in worthless ways, like shopping and bar hopping. They don't know how to set things according to their priorities. They always go to party and after that they get hungover.
Always remember that one thing that money can't buy in this world is self- contentment.
